History
The history of the TESLA V. T. MIKROEL, Ltd. dates from 1939 whem the ALWAYS company opened production of electronic components in a newly built factory in Prague 9. Production was reduced in the early 1950´s and the factory was reconstructed into the branch of vacuum techniques and technology. The 1952 merger of the TESLA development laboratories and the Military Technical Institute gave rise to the Vacuum Electronics Research Institute (VÚVET), which commenced research and development in vacuum techniques and technology, microwave techniques, quantum amplifiers (lasers), optoelectronics, and linear accelerators.
Two similar enterprises merged in 1980 under the name of TESLA Vaacuum Techniques with an exensive development and production base and its own commercial and service department. The company´s products were designed for the civil, but mainly the military area.
The TESLA V. T. MIKROEL, Ltd., established in 1993, took over the development, production, sale, and service in the branches of vacuum products for the domestic and foreign markets.
